Another 2 points lost. Just not quite good enough. Although totally dominating the 1st half we never put a decent pass to Austin, Patterson looked completely isolated and out of position on the left. Apart from the shot that their goalie made a fantastic save to stop us going in at half time 1 up, that was it. Trippier again fully deserved the man of the match award and took some real welly from the 'Boro players, he doesn't go and stay down readily.

Admit Treacy made the best pass of the evening to Austin I still think he is overweight and really needs to get some serious training under his belt, so again I am still puzzled with Sean's substitution tactics. Fisrt half kept possession really well then in second half started "punting" the ball up field and giving it away/passing to quickly. Lost, drawn,lost, drawn in last 4 matches giving only 2 points out of a possible 12 is basically a downwards plunging position, so in all essence it was a good thing results went okay for the Clarets and pleasing to see 'those from down the road' were brought down to earth with a bang. Yes first half had most of the play but sections of the crowd don't seem to like that. It seems they want real urgency. They should remember that the opposition can't score if they don't have the ball. Problam was Burnley didn't look like scoring either. They need more pace, That's why Boro kept kicking Trippier becuase he had some. Need some others with that pace and penetration.

I agree. Older supporters near me couldn't grasp that Boro were never going to score if they didn't have the ball. It would seem they would rather us pump balls forward in the hope that something happens. Unfortunately modern football doesn't work like that. Possession is the key and the most successful teams are economical with their passes.
