BREAKING NEWS: Flood resigns from Burnley board
3:00pm Tuesday 22nd January 2013 in Sport
BRENDAN Flood has stepped down from his role as a Burnley director after more than six years on the board.
Flood joined the board in December 2006 and has left his position for personal reasons.
The termination of his appointment as a director has been confirmed on the Companies House website and Flood tweeted earlier today to say he needed ‘three months off’.
There will be more on this story in tomorrow's Lancashire Telegraph.

Hopefully you are making way for a much richer Claret to replace you.
Got to love all the Blackburn fans with their massive ridged foreheads commenting on this thread - have you seen the shambles at your own pathetic little club? Throwing snowballs at your owners and then a protest that was one buttock short of being half-ar5ed.
Losers.

I also noted the protest at BollyEwood against their owners. Looked all of 3 deep and about 30 wide. Have they really given up hope that much?

Oh of course, that's when the bitterness and anger multiplied a thousand times wasn't it.
Absolute fury and anger that one of our own was f*cking wadded and spent his money on his club. You'd think if little old Rovers had a mega rich fan then surely a club of Bonlehs huge passionate support would be able to find itself a mega wadded fan?
Maybe if you lot weren't so infatuated with all things Rovers, you wouldn't have noticed the last 20 years. Or is that 30? Ah well, at least you can get those 'above Rovers in the league for 3 weeks' t-shirts printed in time for the open top Transit mini bus celebrations.

Is this the same fan who put his money where his mouth was and transformed your club from perennial under achievers and bought your so called glory days? Fair play to him.
Is this the same fan who's legacy your club has tarnished by p***ing all his money and hard work up the wall?

1992 was a bad year for YOU, not English football. That's because the rest of English football hasn't been diseased with poison and hate for another club quite like you clog wearing oddballs in rivalry you exist for.
If Jack bought our support, who bought yours? Ours lasted twenty seasons, yours lasted one. Whats your excuse? Owen Coyle? Eddie thingy?
Funny you should chose to throw more stones in your glass house because that pathetic support you mention is still higher than yours. Explain that one eh? I thought you took 3 million fans to Wembley when Bonleh fans took London over - again? Where are they? Why is there only 10,000 at Turd every other week? Have Venkys bought you lot aswell?

You've obviously forgotten the pre walker period when we were getting bigger crowds in the 4th division than you were two divisions above.
Oh no you haven't forgotten, you just weren't there to see it were you?
As easy at is, I can't be ar5ed proving your very weak retorts wrong. If you google it though you'll see the harsh truth that your cardboard club just doesn't cut the mustard. More success, higher attendances, more derby wins - we've done the lot me old china. The truth hurts eh?
Oh and I was there to see it. All of it. Every high and every low.
In my lifetime Tod when we were sh1t you were even sh1tter and when we were good, you were still sh1t.
Try harder next time ****. Tara
