When we signed him we also signed Danny Ings at the same time. Many from the south coast said that Ings was the better buy and from what I've seen of him he looks a good 'en.

Charlie will probably come straight back into the starting eleven once fit, BUT, without him we haven't struggled to score and we're one of the form teams in the league.

When you have a player of Austins class in your ranks, it can make the team a bit one dimensional, take him out and other options are looked at.

Stanislas, Ings and Vokes have already stepped up and got their name on the score sheet so its good with Charlie and arguably as good without him.

Dont forget the dollar we'd get if anybody wants to get the cheque book out either!

They might pay Charlie decent money but SPL football isn't even at the same level as the championship.
We certainly are better placed to sell him with the quality of cover we have now.
Celtic will have to put money to if they're only getting £6m for Hooper.
I'd love to keep him but we may end up selling in the summer ultimately.

I think you will find the SPL is up your creek,did see reports down south,so this could be a talking point on your pages,all you dingles have a nice day and all that,it also seems that NEWCASTLE interested so with that you will be loosing him,only come on your pages to see if story was TRUE and guess what IT IS

Rovers fan here, rivalries apart I hope you keep Austin as I think a move to Scotland is rather a backward step for a talented player no disrespect to the SPL.

No doubt due to the circus shambles going on there!

Would like to keep Charlie until the end of the season. but like anyone else he will look for the better wage in their field of employment. Burnley should get a pretty packet for him, and the team left is more than capable of continuing the form. Apart from the few goals, Charlie's score tally is down to good service, and Ings has the same predatory instinct. The Clarets will be fine, and if Charlie removes to more lucrative pastures, then we can wish him well and say thanks for all his endeavours.

Whilst not on this particular thread I don note a lot of Rovers fans mentioning "Uncle Jack looking down...." why is there a presumption that he is looking down? i've always imagined that he would be looking up!
