CHORLEY accounted for promotion hopefuls Leigh with unexpected ease to make it four wins out of five.

The crisis-torn hosts were second best for most of a thoroughly entertaining match as the Magpies shrugged off their midweek defeat at Bamber Bridge in an eye-catching display.

Chorley built on a bright start to go ahead after 27 minutes. Stuart Howson raced into the box to meet a corner with a powerful header beyond keeper Steve Drench.

Alex Porter was unlucky not to bag a second Chorley goal three minutes after the break but saw his effort touched on to the post by a covering defender after rounding the keeper.

But the lively Chris Amadi sealed victory with a quality finish on 62 minutes - leaving a defender trailing just outside the box, he cut inside to beat Drench with a fierce low shot inside the near post.
