KEVIN Pietersen fell for just nine as England lost their prized wicket shortly after lunch at Trent Bridge.

Pietersen, who has been in dreadful form of late, played on to Mohammed Arif before Jon Trott was given out leg before wicket to Mohammad Aamer for 38.

That left England on 118-4 after they won the toss and chose to bat at Trent Bridge in the first Test.
