Harriers host final cross country event

DARTFORD Harriers hosted the final meeting of the Kent league cross country series at Parkwood School in Swanley on Saturday.
The course was made even more testing by the ice and snow. Races were run over 5km for ladies and 9km for men.
Dartford Harriers results: Senior ladies - Cara Oliver 12th, Jessica Dando 22nd, Lyn Morgan 30th.
There was a field of 56, with Dartford Harriers in fifth place for the season out of 15 teams.
The senior men’s results were - Tony Durey 48th, Des Adkinson 53rd, Stewart Waterman 60th, Frank Hudson 83rd, Steve Hickmott 90th, Tim Orr 111th, Bob Coombes 130th.
There were 138 finishers for the men.
The men’s team finished sixth in the league out of 20 teams.
