Hammer ace edges closer to dream

YOUNG Dartford Harriers hammer thrower Hannah Searing’s twin ambitions this season were to throw more than 40m and get into the top 10 of the UK ranking lists.
She took a step closer to both aims when winning the U17 hammer at the London inter-clubs challenge at Woodford Green on Saturday.
Her throw of 38.96m was not only a personal best, but places her at number 11 in the UK ranking list.
Searing’s previous pb was 37.40m.
Four more meetings remain until the end of the season and she is maintaining a positive approach.
