Harriers out in force

Istead & Ifield Harriers had a great turnout at the Cliffe Woods 10k on Sunday with 15 men and 12 ladies completing the race which is held annually to raise funds for Cerebral Palsy Kent.

In ideal running conditions, Andy Archer led home Istead’s runners finishing in 6th place overall and winning the male over 40 category. The club’s other veterans also ran well with Barbara Ockenden winning the ladies over 50 race, and with Lesley Irvine in 3rd place in the same category. Nick Claydon and Sue Beecham also achieved second place in their respective age groups.
