Cambridge Harriers retain an outside chance of promotion, despite some of this seasons top performers missing the action at the latest British Athletics League match in Bournemouth.
The team finished the eight team match in fourth place, to remain third in the league.
Highlights of the day came from Francois Potgieter with a double win in the 110 meter and 400 meter hurdles double, a victory for Dean Lacy in the 800m, a discuss double win from Andrew Kruszewski and Tony Tipping.
Crowning the days top performances was Stephan Mitchell wins in the 100 and 200 meter sprints in times of 11.0 seconds and 22.1 seconds.
Meanwhile, there were personal bests for all three Cambridge Harriers representing their borough at the London Youth Games at Crystal Palace, on Sunday.
Juvenal Iragaba and Ruth Onyekwe represented Greenwich while Daryl Neita represented Lewisham.
Ruth gained 5th place from the 33 competing boroughs in the 100m with a time of 13.2 seconds, but went one better in the long jump, gaining 4th place with 4.93 meters.
Juvenal achieved a personal best in the 400m, his time of 56.2 seconds earning him 6th place.
Remarkably, Junvenal picked up a javelin for the first time in his life and with his first throw achieved a distance of 33.59 meters to gain 7th place, a fantastic achievement for the Year 8 student.
Daryl shone once again and gained 2nd place in the 100 meters in 12.8 seconds and achieved a personal best of 5.02 meters in the long jump for 3rd place.
