Ruth is top performer for Chorley AC in Red Rose race


Ruth Whipp, with a magnificent fifth place (5:36) finish in the U11s race, was the best Chorley AC performance of the day third Red Rose Cross Country event Leverhulme Park, Bolton.

Lucy Croston in the U13s put in her usual gutsy run to finish in (13:40). The U15 boys got their team act together again coming in fourth with Luke Betts sixth (15:36), Ryan Sciacca 15th (16:21) and Michael Murray Jnr suffering leg cramps 26th (20:11).

Tom Booth put in another full run in the U17s in 27th (21:58).

The men improved their team position to 12th.

The vets did less well as 15th team.
