RADCLIFFE AC’s Anna Lupton has proved she can take on the big mountains.
A keen fell runner, Anna, has done well in two races in Austria while she has been travelling in Europe.
In the 12.7km Grossglockner event in Heiligenblut, on the highest mountain in Austria, she was third woman in her age category, finishing 108th out of 737 runners, and in the Schlickeralmlauf mountain race near Innsbruck she was 19th woman overall out of 160 runners.
The club is now preparing for its next event, a five-mile multi-terrain race on Thursday August 14. It starts from the Masons Arms in Sion Street, Radcliffe, at 7.45pm and runners can enter on the night or on line on www.radcliffe ac.org.uk
