ACCRINGTON Stanley goalkeeper Alex Cisak is determined to maintain his recent form as he bids to reach the Olympic Games with Australia next year.

Cisak has kept five clean sheets in 10 games since being recalled to the Stanley line-up in early February, coinciding with the Reds’ recent surge towards the play-off places, and is targeting a place in Australia’s squad for London 2012.

The 21-year-old currently looks set to be called into Australia’s under 23 set-up for Olympic qualifiers this summer.

“We’ve got qualifiers in June and I’m in with a shot to be playing as long as I’m playing here and playing well,” said Cisak, who was born in Poland but later moved to Tasmania.

“But club football is more important here. I just want to do well here first and if I get picked, that’s great, that’s a bonus.”

And Cisak has also expressed his desire to stay at Stanley when his one-year deal expires.

“Yes, why not?” he said. “If the gaffer wants to keep me, then great. But we’ll just see how we go and see what happens at the end of the season.”
