Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes has applauded Jason Brown's decision to come to Ewood Park.
Brown, 23, could have gone to Swansea but decided to move to Blackburn and try and improve under the tutelage of Brad Friedel and Peter Enckelman.
And Hughes has been impressed with Brown's ambition and believes he could become one of the Premiership's best goalkeepers.
"Jason impresses me as a guy who wants to get on in his career," Hughes said.
"He had an opportunity to go to Swansea as first choice goalkeeper but decided against that.
"He wants to test himself at the highest level. He decided to work with Brad and Pete because he wants to improve.
"Jason can certainly learn from Brad as he has been one of the top goalkeepers for a number of years."
