BLACKBURN the Redeemer will represent the borough in the SPAR Lancashire Youth Games tennis finals.
More than 40 pupils from 10 primary school took part in the Blackburn with Darwen qualifier aiming to reach the county finals at South Ribble Tennis Centre on Tuesday, July 6.
And it was Redeemer, who beat Audley Junior School 4-0 in the final, who booked their place while St Anthony’s beat Shadsworth in the 3rd/4th play-off.
Other schools to take part included Longshaw Community Junior School, Sacred Heart, St Silas, Wensley Fold, St Stephen’s and St Thomas.
The event was orgranised by Andrew Mercer, competition manager for the Blackburn School Sports Partnership, and Lancashire Sport Partnership.
