Guti’s former Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster has expressed an interest in signing the 33-year-old midfielder for Besikstas but suggested that was unlikely because he ‘was bound for Blackburn’.
The Lancashire Telegraph understands though that, while Allardyce would love to bring Guti to Ewood Park, the Rovers boss is concentrating all his efforts on the bid for goals.
Any move for the Spaniard is only likely if the budget allows it once a striker is brought in.
