BLACKBURN youngster Joey Lamb was East Lancashire’s top performer at last Sunday’s Lancashire Boys Championship at Preston Golf Club.
The 15-year-old Wilpshire member came fifth in the field – three shots behind the winner, Royal Lytham’s Henry Tomlinson – after shooting rounds of 71 and 74.
Lamb did, however, pick up the best nett award in the morning round with a score of 68, while Chorley’s Alex Leung enjoyed the best nett round in the afternoon, shooting 69.
Tomlinson won the title by a shot from host club player James Fletcher.
Next year’s Lancashire Boys Championship will be held at Bolton Old Links.
