JAMES Anderson removed his England Test team-mate Jonathan Trott and Glen Chapple picked up two early wickets as Lancashire reduced Warwickshire to 28-4 this morning.
But Ian Bell's unbeaten 42 and 43 not out from Jim Troughton saw the visitors safely through to lunch on day two of the Championship match at Old Trafford.
Warwickshire were 13-1 overnight as they replied to Lancashire's 253 all out and things seemed bright for the Red Rose after the early flurry of wickets.
But Bell and Troughton shared an unbroken 92-run stand before the interval.
