BARNOLDSWICK Town joint-manager Ben Hall admits he will need to lift his battle-weary side after losing a dramatic and draining West Riding Cup final on Wednesday.
Barlick were beaten 5-4 after extra time by Garforth Town in a brave performance from the Vodkat Division One league leaders.
But Hall admits there is no time to feel sorry for themselves as Barnoldswick, with seven games left, bid to close out their quest for promotion in just their first season in the Vodkat League, starting with tomorrow’s trip to Eccleshall.
“It hurt us Wednesday night,” said Hall, who along with joint-bosses Stewart Airdie and Kevin Richardson were given the manager of the month award for March.
“The lads gave it everything and deserved much more.
“We’d have won had it gone to penalties!
“It’s our job to lift the lads and we’ll have to do that because we’ve got a big game at Eccleshall and we need nine points for promotion.”
