ASHWELL Prince and Steven Croft lifted Lancashire after their disastrous start to the County Championship season today.

The pair shared a fifth wicket stand of 133 as they rescued Lancashire from their early shock.

They were reduced to 14-4 before the pair came together.

Croft made 64 and South African Prince hit 62 to boost Lancashire by the tea interval, where they had reached 194-6 with Luke Sutton (17) and Glen Chapple at the crease.
