COLNE entertain fellow strugglers Rawtenstall with both teams looking for the win that will kick start their season.

Captain David Swarbrick said: "At the start of the season, a lot people were backing us and Rawtenstall to be challenging for honours.

"We're only two or three wins away from the top so victory is important for both teams."

Matthew Wilson returns from injury in place of John Lambert.

Rawtenstall have struggled to find any form with the bat so far but chairman, Brian Payne, says he is encouraged by recent performances.

He said: "We beat Ramsbottom two weeks ago thanks to a good batting display and a couple of the lads had decent knocks against Church last week. So the signs are promising."

Rizwan Shafiq and Paul Bingham come in to the side at the expense of Afraz Ali and Steve Connor.

Stand-in ACCRINGTON captain David Ormerod hopes young opener Graeme Sneddon will grow in confidence after his first half century of the season.

Poor weather meant it wasn't enough to secure a win at home to Haslingden, but Ormerod hopes it will still prove to be a timely boost ahead of tomorrow's game at Lowerhouse.

"Graeme has improved all season and he's taking on board the advice that's been given to him from the senior players," he said.

Lowerhouse have Indian batsman Vinit Indulka as their paid man for the clash.

And he'll come face to face with his big friend Nishit Shetty - Accrington's Indian professional - at Liverpool Road. The pair play together in Mumbai and know each other's game well.

Indulka, 21, replaces Aussie Ryan Harris, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Jon Finch returns after knee problems.

Points could prove crucial for ENFIELD in their top of the table battle tomorrow.

A win at home to second placed Ramsbottom, who are unchanged, could see them extend their lead at the top of the Lancashire League table to up to 20 points.

A third defeat of the season, however, could spell disaster.

"If we lose, we could end up third or fourth in the league depending on what other teams do, and we don't want to be in that situation," said captain David Bracewell.

BURNLEY skipper Jon Harvey has called on his players to continue their fine league form at rock bottom Church.

Harvey's resurgent side travel to West End with Steve Brunt and Andy McLeod back in the ranks, while Graham Lalor faces a fitness test.

With only two league victories to their name all season, lowly Church must look to end a barren run of form.

They name teenage Sam Holt in place of injured Mark Gilrane.

EAST LANCS will look to maintain their recent hot streak when they take on 11th placed Bacup at Lanehead.

The Blackburn club are currently on a seven-match winning run but they will have to make changes with Mo Patel and Andy Clague coming in for John Fairless and Asif Bhojani.

Bacup will be looking to lift themselves up the table.

Professional Chris Cairns has been in sensational form with bat and ball, and could be the difference between the sides.

Adnan Malik will deputise for injured professional Vernon Philander when RISHTON meet Nelson at Blackburn Road.

Only league leaders Enfield have won more games than seventh-placed Rishton this season and Peter Sleep's side will be boosted by the return of wicketkeeper Andy Bartley.

Morne van Wyk plays his last game for TODMORDEN as they face HASLINGDEN.

Haslingden include Robert Marcroft, Maneeb Ahmed and Joe Sipocz in their side.
