BACUP boss Brent Peters could don his boots again as a packed end-of-season fixture list bites deep into his squad.
No less then seven of his players are out or doubtful for the trip to Alsager, after playing nine games in 18 days.
So the 49-year-old manager and his 38-year-old assistant Lynton James are set to be named amongst the subs.
But Peters has been left fuming by a situation he says could have been avoided.
"The season has become a farce," he said. "The players are playing with injuries and I'm having to count up the bodies from the walking wounded just to try and get a squad together.
"I've no qualms about lacing up the boots again but it's a farcical situation that, at the business end of the season when there are teams going for honours, we have to resort to this.
"It's unfair to everyone."
