Mark Hughes has expressed his delight at agreeing a new three year contract, which ties him to Blackburn Rovers until 2009.
The Welshman ended any speculation about his own future by signalling his intention to put pen to paper earlier this week, and he says he's genuinely excited' about what the future holds for Rovers following a remarkable first 18 months at the helm.
"I am excited by what is happening with Rovers and am very happy to pledge my future to the club," he said.
"We have enjoyed a great season and I am looking forward to being part of the club's success going forward."
Hughes' trusted lieutenants, Eddie Niedzwiecki and Mark Bowen, have also agreed new three year deals, completing a magnificent week for the club.
