DISGRACED ex-Accrington Stanley captain Peter Cavanagh will join Fleetwood Town when his eight-month ban from football for betting offences ends next week.
The 28-year-old was suspended from all football in August after the FA found him guilty of betting on Stanley’s loss to Bury in May 2008.
Cavanagh had still been training with Stanley when he received his ban but cannot rejoin the Reds this season because the Football League transfer window has closed.
He will now sign for Blue Square North side Fleetwood until the end of the season.
