BLACKBURN Rovers’ fans look set to again enjoy the cheapest Premier League football next campaign after the club revealed season tickets would be available for the equivalent of just £11 per game.

Continuing their move to ‘bring football back to the people’, season tickets for the 2010/11 campaign for the Blackburn End and the Riverside have been priced at £209 for adults – offering significant savings compared to their top-flight rivals.

While some clubs are yet to announce their pricing structure for next season, Rovers’ offer seems certain to beat any other Premier League club as they look to repeat this season’s Ewood Park success.

And fans are welcoming the news which means only two clubs in the Football League currently look to be able to better Rovers’ cheapest price, Cheltenham and Huddersfield, while some Blue Square Premier outfits will be more expensive than Ewood – with Mansfield Town charging £230.

Supporters also have the chance to purchase a 16-game season ticket in the Darwen End for £150, excluding the matches against Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, with boss Sam Allardyce stressing the boost of having fans behind both goals.

Rovers took the unprecedented step of offering season tickets for £10 per game last year and, with improved attendances and atmosphere helping them into the top 10, the club can again boast the best value football.

With matchday ticket prices set to see a modest increase, season ticket savings next campaign will mean a supporter only has to attend around seven games to make it worth the money.

Allardyce said: “It is very difficult to quantify the impact other than to say it is massive.

"We have had fantastic home support in terms of my time here.

“I think the evidence of that can be gauged on the results of the team and the fact we have only lost three games out of the last 27.

“I always felt the club was to be congratulated last season on pricing and to hear that will be continued next season is fantastic news.

“On the football side, certainly in terms of management and players, we are fully aware of the impact of having our fans at both ends of the ground and the fact our attendances have risen.

“Our objective is always to try and entertain supporters at home and that means winning games and sending people home happy. and all these circumstances help us to do that.”

With a current season ticket total approaching 19,500 and the average attendance at Ewood the best for years, Rovers believe their ‘Taking Back Ewood campaign’ had a direct effect on their improved home fortunes.

They travel to Portsmouth on Saturday sitting in 10th in the Premier League and, with a squad balanced with youth and experience, Rovers fans can expect more good times next season.

Head of Commercial and Marketing Simon Williams said: “We are determined to keep our fanbase growing and provide the team the best support possible.

"Our season ticket prices remain incredible in comparison, not just to our competitors, but to the whole of football.

“We will continue to give our fans the most affordable football we can manage and will work tirelessly to recruit more and more to the cause and build on the magnificent atmosphere we have all enjoyed this season.”

Demand for seats in the Walkersteel Blackburn End and Riverside has outstripped supply this season, with enquiries already received about next campaign, and all fans currently in those stands are urged to purchase their seats by the end of this season or risk losing them.

The facility to spread the cost over 10 months is again on offer and tickets go on sale from today - see www.rovers.co.uk - with all current holders receiving renewal information by post over the next couple of weeks.
