CLITHEROE warmed up for Wednesday’s LFA Co-operative Challenge Trophy semi final clash with Leigh Genesis with an impressive display in an entertaining game.
The home side had a dream start when Danny Williams crossed for Alan Coar to volley home after just eight minutes.
Coar was in the thick of the action midway through the half when he forced the keeper in to a point blank save after good work by Jonathan Forbes.
After the break, Nathan Taylor flashed a header just wide but Radcliffe were level on the hour when Clitheroe keeper Danny Hanford sliced Simon Garner’s back pass and Ben Wharton lofted the ball in to the unguarded goal.
However Jason Jones sealed victory after good work by Ryan Fisher and Williams.
