RAMSBOTTOM embark on a double cup mission over the next few days buoyed by an emphatic 3-1 midweek win over Padiham in an East Lancashire derby.
Rammy face Congleton tomorrow in the League Cup before taking on Unibond Division One North side Lancaster in the LFA Trophy second round on Tuesday.
But the victory over Padiham – their third successve league win – moved them up to joint fourth in the table and delighted co-manager Bernard Morley.
He said: “It was a job very well done. Our performance spoke volumes. We have shored up at the back as our record shows in the last three games.
“We are proving a tough side to beat now and our next few games will certainly see exactly where we are as we face some of the top teams in the division.”
