Ramsbottom United were beaten 2-1 at Ashton Athletic in the Vodkat Premier Division.
Ed O’Neill put them ahead before half time but Ashton won it with two goals after the interval.
Promotion-chasing Padiham could only draw 2-2 at AFC Blackpool in the First Division.
Paul Fildes opened the scoring and Martin Parkes were on target for the Storks.
But Padiham finished with nine men as Fildes and Tom Bradley were sent off.
