SUPER St Joseph’s have powered to more pool glory after winning an annual gala for the eighth year in a row.

The Darwen school’s boys team won the St Bede’s Feeder School gala for the eighth time – although this year they had to share the honours with St Pauls.

And not to be outdone, the girls also proved they have the ability to swim to success after winning the Arrowsmith Trophy for the sixth time in eight years.

The boys team had to be at their best to make sure they maintained their impressive record and were pushed all the way by St Pauls.

And in the end, there was nothing to seperate them at the top of the leaders board.

The St Joseph’s boys team included Joshua Ollerton, Christopher Hope, Ethan Simms and Christopher Birch.

The winning girls team included Charlotte O’Neil, Elena Collins, Jessica Lingard and Alisha Lingard.

Last month, St Joseph’s were crowned overall winners in the Darwen Swimming Club Invitation Gala.
