Whites facing big fight for Sampson

WANDERERS face a huge battle to keep hold of teenage sensation Jack Sampson.

The 15-year-old Bolton striker is one of the hottest young properties in English football and is reported to be the target of a host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool.

The 6ft-plus home-grown ace is not due to leave school until next summer, but his future is set to be decided over the next few weeks.

Wanderers are desperate to keep hold of the England Under-16s star, but face fierce competition from several top-flight rivals, with Manchester City, Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle are also believed to be pursuing the sought-after youngster.
