PAUL Ince felt Matt Derbyshire was unlucky not to add more to his brace in his first Blackburn Rovers appearance of the season against Grimsby Town last night.

“Matt Derbyshire could have had about five or six, and that's not telling a lie,” he said.

“I'm not sure about the one that was ruled out for offside, whether it was offside or not, but he had enough chances.

“He's shown he's got pace, he'll score goals, he'll put the ball in the right situations and get you goals.

"And it was nice to see him get a brace today.

“He's been frustrated he's not been in the fold, but I said to the lads before the game they'd got a chance to show they want to get in the first 11, and he certainly did that.”

I wasn't able to see the game last night and can only find little bits about Villanueva's performance.

Can anybody tell me how he looked? Do you think he could transfer his talents to the first tema?

I've said it for long enough - Derbs can be the new Michael Owen and less injury-prone to boot. Get him in near the starting eleven and he will do the job for us.
