HULL City boss Phil Brown has confirmed that he is interested in hiring Morecambe assistant boss Mark Lillis.
Brown, who led the Tigers into the Premier League wants to add to his backroom staff at the KC Stadium.
And one of his main targets for a development coaching role is Lillis.
The Tigers have approached the Shrimps to talk to the former Huddersfield Town and Manchester City striker, who is a highly respected coach throughout the game.
Says Brown: "Mark Lillis is one of the coaches we've looked at.
"We've done everything in the right way and we've talked to Morecambe at boardroom level.
"It's an interesting position for someone to come in as a development coach."
