Five new faces for kick-off

THERE will be a new look for the North Lancashire Football League when it kicks-off, with five new teams taking to the field.

The quintet, Morecambe Gold, Heysham Reserves, Middleton Reserves, Morecambe Cricket Club Reserves and Highgrove Colts, were all elected into Division Four at the AGM.

Both Burton Thistle Reserves and Overton Reserves applied for re-election and were voted in.

Vine FC have resigned from the League meaning there will be a total of 68 teams contesting the competition.

The season will start on Wednesday, August 20 and finish on Saturday, May 10.

Premier Division: Storeys, Marsh United, Carnforth Rangers, TIC Dynamos, Highgrove, Cartmel, Kirkby Lonsdale, Morecambe Royals, Ingleton, Galgate, Swarthmoor SC, Caton United, Morecambe Hoops, Halton Rangers

Division One: Slyne-with-Hest, Torrisholme, Bentham, Storeys Res, Millhead, Cartmel Res, Boys Club, Morecambe Royals Res, Ingleton Res, Grange, College AFC, Marsh United Res, Highgrove Res, Bowerham

Division Two: Slyne-with-Hest A, Westgate Wanderers, Bolton-le-Sands, Morecambe Cricket Club, Freehold FC, Arnside, Caton United Res, Furness Rovers, Middleton, Swarthmoor Res, Kirkby Lonsdale Res, Galgate Res, Overton FC
