CLARETS' young guns fought out a 0-0 draw away to Bury on Thursday night.
Eight of Vince Overson's youth team squad were playing their second game in 24 hours after appearing for the reserves on Wednesday evening - in the 1-0 defeat against Morecambe - alongside first-team squad members.
But the energy levels remained high and the Clarets had their chances to beat their near neighbour at Radcliffe Borough.
Strikers Rob Turner and Alex MacDonald came closest in the second-half First, Turner hit the post with a firm header, before MacDonald was denied by a terrific save.
Head of youth development Vince Overson said: "I was delighted, especially with our second half performance.
"This was the second game in just over a day for some of the lads, but after Bury shaded the first-half they showed great determination to shade the second."
Burnley: Sergeant, Stott, Kudiersky, Lynch, Bradley, Craig, Kay, Anderson, Craggs, Turner, MacDonald.
Subs: Ritchie, Lomas, Chagger, Newman, Devanney
