JOHN Coleman last night vowed to crack open the champagne after guiding Accrington Stanley to their first clean sheet in three months.
The Reds comfortably beat Brentford 1-0 at the Fraser Eagle Stadium, with unlikely hero Leam Richardson grabbing his first ever goal for the club.
It was Stanley's first home win in 2008 and their first clean sheet since a 0-0 draw at Hereford on November 24.
"My daughter has got a bottle of Cristal, which I believe is very expensive champagne," said Stanley boss Coleman.
"It's been promised that we would open it after our next clean sheet, so I'll be having a glass!"
Richardson grabbed Stanley's winner just after the half-hour mark, and the Reds held out with ease to end a dismal run of form.
