CLARETS colleagues Scott Arfield and Chris Wood are set to face each other in international action later this month.

Canada face New Zealand in a friendly in Spain on Saturday, March 24, and while New Zealand are yet to announce their squad star man Wood would seem certain to be included.

Burnley's record signing has returned from injury with two appearances off the bench over the past two weeks, scoring three times in just 75 minutes of action to confirm a return to form and take him to seven Premier League goals this term.

Arfield has been absent for Burnley recently with a calf injury but the 29-year-old has been included in John Herdman's squad for the friendly clash in Murcia.

Canada are also holding a training camp in the week leading to the game, with players set to gather in Spain from this Sunday.

Herdman said: “This match provides a great opportunity to be face to face with members of the Men’s National Team Program and establish the foundations and relationships that will align Canada’s Men’s National Team Program towards a goal of consistent winning performances.

"The players believe that we can do this and that with the right plan we can deliver. Our players are looking forward to making that commitment and pushing themselves to levels that they have never reached before."
