BLACKBURN Rovers defender Charlie Mulgrew has been named in the Scotland squad for their vital World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Malta.
Mulgrew has been a regular in Gordon Strachan's squad recently and played in the 2-2 draw with England in June.
He is set to miss Rovers' scheduled League One clash with Fleetwood on Sunday, September 3.
Scotland travel to Lithuania on Friday, September 1 before welcoming Malta to Hampden Park on Monday, September 4 in must-win Group F fixtures.
Strachan has recalled former Rovers defender Grant Hanley, now at Newcastle, while another ex Ewood Park man - Fulham's Tom Cairney - is also included.
