We asked our fans' jury: “What do you think is the biggest thing that needs to change for Rovers to get their first win?”

Many people are bemoaning the formation yet for me it's the team selection. I don't mind the formation if we have the right players to play it yet Elliott Bennett drops too deep in search for the ball for a 'number 10', leaving Danny Graham isolated and the two wing backs who offer our greatest width and attacking threat have no pace, skill or attacking intent.

I trust Tony Mowbray to get it right, we have to because he's brought sense and leadership to the club, but if he is insistent on using this formation he needs to ensure he has the personnel who can play it.

If this formation is the way he wants to play, why did he buy wingers and strikers rather than central defenders and wing backs?

There has been a lot of talk about formations and systems following the two defeats, but this team should have enough quality to beat most sides in this division whatever formation they play.

Having said that, it was clear on Saturday that playing five at the back at home against a newly promoted team was too defensive. Danny Graham was an isolated figure up front on his own, Peter Whittingham was way off the pace as Rovers' creative drive in midfield and they asked an awful lot of Paul Caddis to get up and down the right wing.

The second half was the stark opposite as two defenders went off for more attack- minded players. Those changes left Rovers way too open at the back. Individual errors cost them, but even without those, I doubt they would have won the game.

Bradley Dack was energetic during his brief cameo role, and could provide the creative spark that Rovers need. The height of Ben Gladwin also looked threatening, while Dominic Samuel scored again. All three may come into the starting 11 at Bradford if Tony Mowbray decides to fresh up his team as they search for a much needed three points.

Bringing Darragh Lenihan back into the fold once he recovers from injury will help, as will the re-introduction of willing runner Craig Conway.

It's a long season and there's no need to panic just yet. Sheffield United took just one point from their opening four games last season and went on to win the league title with 100 points on the board. But the sooner Rovers pick up their first win the better.

Well it certainly isn't all about formations although they can't be discounted. It's more about grit, determination, concentration and common sense.

You fight your way out of this division and play ugly when necessary. There's no time now to prop up anyone's career, we've had that problem before.

The pre-season defeat against Carlisle should have set the alarm bells ringing. Good teams are built around a solid defence and opposing teams are only too keen to exploit our glaring weaknesses.

Also, did anyone notice Southend's result last weekend... I rest my case.
