Tom Heaton 8

Made a sensational second half save from Delaney and his free-kicks from inside his own half were a danger.

Matt Lowton 7

Another rock solid display from a full-back who has been in fine form. Dealt well with both Zaha and Townsend.

Michael Keane 9

Christisan who? Keane was utterly dominant against the £30million man. Won countless headers in both penalty areas.

James Tarkowski 9

A first ever Premier League start but you’d never have guessed. Composed on the ball and a rock at the back.

Stephen Ward 7

A shame his match was ended early. Got forward well to set up the goal and coped comfortably with Zaha.

George Boyd 8

A workaholic display, but he made 44 passes with all of them finding the target, including the brilliant ball for Gray’s goal.

Ashley Westwood 9 (Man of the Match)

Must have been chomping at the bit for his chance and when it came thanks to Joey Barton’s suspension he took it with both hands. A display full of energy and verve and his use of the ball was excellent. Covered an awful lot of ground.

Jeff Hendrick 7

Dovetailed nicely with Westwood in what looks a partnership that has real potential. Saw both sides of his game.

Scott Arfield 8

May have been picked for a defensive double up on Zaha and he was excellent at that. Gave full-back great protection.

Ashley Barnes 8

Composed himself wall to take his chance at second attempt. A handful all afternoon and linked well with Vokes.

Sam Vokes 8

Unlucky not to score with a couple of chances but a towering presence in attack. He caused mayhem at the back for Palace.
