MICHAEL Keane is set to make his England debut in the Three Lions' friendly in Germany tonight, according to reports.

Gareth Southgate is set to trial a three-man defence in the Dortmund friendly with Keane starting alongside Chris Smalling and Gary Cahill.

This the third time in a row the 24-year-old has been involved in an England squad but tonight will be his first appearance for his country at senior level.

Speaking after Burnley's goalless draw with Sunderland at the weekend, Keane said: “We’ve got two big games coming up with Germany away at Dortmund. I can’t wait for that one especially.

“It’s going to be a special occasion and it’s great to be a part of it. If I can get on and make my debut then I’ll be over the moon. It’s been a dream of mine so we’ll just have to wait and see.

“I’ve been desperate to do it all season. I’ve been away twice now so hopefully it’ll be third time lucky. It’s something I’ve dreamt of since I was a young boy so if I can do that then it’ll be a big milestone for me.

“They are two fantastic games. Obviously Germany is what it is, it’s away from home at Dortmund, it’s a special place to play but to do it at Wembley would be equally as special if not even more special. As long as I get on the pitch I will be delighted.”
