Massanka spent the first half of the season at League Two Morecambe, coming off the bench 11 times, but he is now hoping to impress at the Racecourse.

“It is just about my development and trying to get as many goals as possible,” he said.

“Burnley will be watching me, the manager there will be watching me, but on a personal note I want to do well for myself and obviously push on in my career.

“Morecambe was a great club and I had a great time off the field and on the pitch.

“But at the time it was hard to get into the team, so I have made the move to Wrexham and I am hoping to get more minutes on the pitch and more games under my belt. But as far as Morecambe is concerned, (it is) a great club, I thanked everyone at the club, (manager) Jim Bentley, but now it is time for me to push on as a player.

“The manager (Dean Keates) has said to me when I came in on Wednesday, ‘Work hard, play your part and of course if you play well enough you will keep the shirt’.

“That is what I am trying to do and hopefully I can help the team as much as I can.”
