BURNLEY are not ‘desperate’ to add a fourth striker to their squad following the departure of Patrick Bamford.

The Clarets have space for another loan signing after Bamford was recalled by Chelsea, who are set to sell him to Middlesbrough.

With only Jon Flanagan now at Turf Moor on a temporary basis, Burnley could make another addition through the loan market, with Premier League rules restricting clubs to a maximum of two domestic loans.

Boss Sean Dyche said: “If something comes our way, there’s no guarantee, but it does open up a space.

“It’s tough. The market is tough.

“We’re one down, a recognised striker down, but we’ve got a pretty rounded squad. We’ve fluctuated between playing a one striker and two striker system so we’re not desperate.

“He did well and worked hard to do what we do but he hadn’t had that much game time. It’s not like he was playing every week which can be different.”
