And Gallagher, who made it three goals in six starts in Saturday’s 4-2 home success over Rotherham United, said: “When you’re scoring and playing well you just want to keep going and keep getting more minutes under my belt to improve my match fitness so I’d definitely like to play.”

Coyle is expected to start with either Gallagher or Marvin Emnes on the bench at Elland Road.

The on-loan forwards ran Rotherham ragged on their first start together.

And Gallagher said of his strike-partner, who made it two goals in as many games: “Marvin has made a big impact since he’s come to the club. When there’s more depth to the positions it just pushes everyone on.”
