Burnley will face League Two side Grimsby Town in the first round of the Carling Cup.
The Clarets will travel to Blundell Park for the first time since the 2002/3 season, when they lost 6-5 in an extraordinary League match and drew 2-2 in the FA Cup.
The Carling Cup tie will take place in the week commencing August 13, just days after the start of the new league season.
