BURNLEY captain Tom Heaton said the Clarets had a good feeling about beating Hull after an “excellent” week of training.
Sam Vokes scored 13 minutes from time to earn a crucial three points against the Championship leaders.
The win capped another good week for Burnley, following on the back of the 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

And despite Wednesday’s strong home record, Heaton said there was disappointment at not making it a perfect week by taking all three points from Hillsborough.
“We’ve been on a good run and building momentum,” said the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
“Saturday had a brilliant feel about it. Training in the week had been excellent.
“The Sheffield Wednesday game was a good point away from home at a tough place.
“We felt a slight bit of disappointment, we felt like we could have won it.
“It’s a great feeling to have in a squad when you go to a tough place and you think you should have come out with a win.
“That carried on into Saturday. It was played in tough conditions, against a tough team; they’ve shut up shop in their recent run of form away from home.
“We thought they might do that and they did, they tried to catch us on the counter, but I thought we dealt with it really well, we dealt with the conditions and had a little bit of quality.”
