Darwen got off to a flying start as they beat Leyland at the Stanning Memorial Ground.
Keith Semple was the pick of the bowling as he took 4-31 as Leyland were bowled out for 159.
Chris Clarke led the reply with 66 and Gareth Cordingley made an unbeaten 40 to see Darwen home.
