BLACKBURN Rovers will not be re-signing Kevin Davies.
There were reports this week that Rovers boss Gary Bowyer was interested in the 38-year-old after he was released by League One play-off winners Preston North End.

But Bowyer will not be making a move for Davies, a former club record £7.5m signing at Ewood Park, nor Hertha Berlin’s Sandro Wagner.
Reports in his homeland have linked Wagner, who scored twice for Germany in their 4-0 win over England in the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship final, with Rovers.
But he is not one of the forwards Bowyer is monitoring in case Rudy Gestede goes.
Watford remain interested in Gestede despite so far failing to meet his asking price.
Bowyer would be loathe to lose his 23-goal top-scorer from last season, especially on the back of the sale of Tom Cairney.
One potential target, Nicky Maynard, is currently on trial at Nottingham Forest after his release from Cardiff City.
But Rovers, who themselves are expected to run the rule over trialists in pre-season, are believed to retain an interest.
