ROSSENDALE fell another place in UniBond Division One after slipping to high-flying Eastwood at Dark Lane.
The Stags made the worst possible start as they fell behind to almost Eastwood's first attack of the game, with Deon Meikle scoring the opener on three minutes.
The Badgers - third in the league behind Buxton and Cammell Laird - doubled their lead on 55 minutes through substitute striker Peter Knox.
Just two minutes later, Stags striker Neil Zarac was on target to quickly reduce the arrears for the home side but despite their best efforts, could not find an equaliser.
