BLACKBURN Rovers are sweating on the fitness of 10 players ahead of tomorrow’s big Ewood Park clash with Brentford.

Matt Kilgallon (hip) and Markus Olsson (hamstring) joined captain Grant Hanley (leg), Shane Duffy (knee), Jason Lowe (foot), David Dunn (calf) and Josh King (hamstring) on the sidelines ahead of the 3-1 win at Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

And, although Rovers boss Gary Bowyer is hopeful Kilgallon and Olsson will be fit for the encounter with sixth-placed Brentford, he could be without Craig Conway, Lee Williamson and Doneil Henry after they came off against Charlton.

Conway hurt his hamstring in scoring Rovers’ second goal while Williamson, who was captaining the side in the absence of Hanley and Kilgallon, felt pain in his groin.

And to make matters worse on-loan West Ham United defender Henry also pulled up with a leg problem.

But bullish Bowyer said: “We’ll just get on with it and see who recovers in time for Tuesday.

“These lads have got great character, they are all desperate to play and whatever team we wheel out on Tuesday we’ll have a right good go.”

A fourth Championship win on the spin for Rovers could see them close the gap on Brentford, who occupy the final play-off position, to five points.

Bowyer: “We want to finish strongly as possibly we can.

“At the start of February we went to Watford and put on a great performance and should have come away with more than what they did.

“Credit to the players, they’ve maintained that level of performance and consistency.

“There’s a lot more football left to play and our target is finish as strongly as we possibly can.”
