BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche praised his side’s performance as they drew 0-0 at home to Manchester United this afternoon.

The Clarets hit the bar early on through David Jones and had a number of other chances against a United side including new £59.7m signing Angel Di Maria.

“We come away pleased with a point but I’m as pleased with the performance,” Dyche said.

“We’re maturing as a group at this level, and I include myself in that.

“But I’m not naive, we’ve got to get points on the board and we got one today.

“I don’t think you get anything other than a test when you play Manchester United.

“There’s a lot that the media have made of what’s going on there and the change of philosophy but with that amount of quality on a football pitch they’re always going to be a test.

“But I thought we applied ourselves well to our task today.

“The framework of the team was really good, the energy we provided to the game was very good.

“I thought they had pockets of very good play as you’d expect, they had a great chance in the first half and our keeper made a very good save, and Rooney had a header.

“But for a team like Manchester United we did very well to keep it to that.

“Then we’ve been productive ourselves, hit the bar, a couple of near things.

“I don’t think you ever have an easy ride against Manchester United.”

Yes you are correct, it is the Premier League. And it is after three games. Does that win you any prizes or did you always like to burst your nut too early?

Getting some very positive feedback now and think the last 3 games show just how we deserve to be here and how good pur players are. We'll know in 10 or so games but all the stupid predictions of is being down by Christmas are more dim now than they were the day we went up. One win takes a side up 5-6 places at this stage, 3 wins can be 2-3 places at the end of the season. Only a dimwit of the highest order of dim, as in an ultra in the thick brigade, a General of the army of know nothing brainless bstrds, would judge us after 10 let alone 3. But that's what hate does - eats yer brains.

Fair play to you. Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and £60m Angel Di Maria all nullified by a superb Burnley defence. Can't argue with a result like that, and sets you lot up nicely for a good run of 5 or so games that you can take points from.

I just wish my lot didn't keep having their pants pulled down. Defensively we are an utter shambles and I am serious concerned about our prospects of survival at this rate.

That was a fantastic result today and we couldn't have wished for any better, a massive point against a team fourth from bottom on our own patch. Massive absolutely massive, I'm just so pleased we aren't going down pointless.

Wolves 3 - 1 Blackburn Rovers.

Time to wind that neck in Barry, you're making the decent honest Rovers fans amongst us look very silly with your jealous desperation.

Let it go. Burnley are in the Premier League taking a point off Manchester United while we're struggling in the Championship leaking goals at an alarming rate. Goodness knows what attacking players like Rooney, van Persie, Mata and Di Maria would have done to the clowns in our defence, they'd have hit double figures.

Never mind being in 14th place already, we've got some terrifying games coming up against Wigan, Derby, Fulham and Watford, plenty of scope for us to fall further so I'd keep it zipped if you've any sense.

Shutting up shop like that with everybody back might work against teams that are having a bad patch and might scrape you a point, but most times you will come unstuck against teams that spend good money on good players and take any chances of a goal when they do come along.
I must admit this was one of the worst games I have seen so far this season in the premier league as far as entertainment goes ZZZZZZ!

Hilarious. Why not mention the prices for the 1938 rice crop in Vietnam? That's actually more relevant to the point here, than the borrowings of Forest in the late 1970s/early 1980s and what they did with the money.

Against a side with over 200 million pounds worth of talent on show and against whom YOU predicted we would get hammered by?

Your banter is as power **** as your mid table second division team you support.
A draw against Spent Force United might do it for you chucky wookie but they are cr@p at the moment hence being down here with us, well maybe not quite as low as us but never the less.
Rock bottom with one point and a couple of strikers who couldn't hit a barn door with a beach ball.

Transfer policy is spot on. Get value. If value is not present, don't buy. Did you watch how Dave Jones utterly eclipsed Lady Maria in the United Midfield. And Duffy, currently the best centre-back in the Prem on this form. I'll bet you're delighted. Sitting their with the four mates you travel over from Brierfield to Darwen to travel back to Burnley for the home match.

The word 'pathetic' springs immediately to mind which sums them up in one word. What a bunch of losers.

Jones has one foot and can only pass sideways, highlight of his career this, I nearly scored against United, it will make the highlights DVD at the end of the season. United are in transition and we played them at the best time. Compare this to last time when we beat them when they were champions,
means we had a better team under Coyle instead of this team, who can't win a game.

Another Pounding for Another Pounding. Brierfield's own. Didn't turn up for the Gig because he wasn't one of the Four Dareners who have BFC Season Tickets. He is merged into the mass of Brierfield season ticket holders so he had an excuse when it turned out that he wasn't one of the four. He drives over from Brierfield and goes back up the M65 with them to go to the Turf. So, that's shut me up and hasn't it.

Pull your pants back up you fool.
So, let me get this straight, a Burnley fan who pretends to be a rovers fan who pretends to be a Burnley fan? Really? Can any one else see what a tosser this guy must be. I'm a overs fan, I agree ap4b is also a tosser, but this guy really takes the biscuit.
By the way - well done on your point yesterday!
But Boris, you are a Burnley fan, just like me, the only difference between us is you like taking one for the boys

You really are the most pointless person I have ever come across and your desire to be ridiculed incessantly everyday is actually quite disturbing. I believe you have an attention seeking disorder and you need help. If I am wrong however, you are probably just a kockwomble who struggles with everyday life seeing as the super Clarets are pulling further away from the muppets at the chicken ranch. Our progress has slowed somewhat considering the opposition we have to face but with your lot tumbling down the Championship at a funny yet alarming rate, the gap increases. It hurts doesn't it?
Good.

Good.
He's pointless in the extreme.

He's either a masochist that likes the abuse rounded on him or is so full of self hatred that he seeks out the negativity he brings down on his head. He must feel vindicated by the thumbs-down he's getting, after all, it means he's not completely ignored as is what happens in his current place of care.

Another thing that's entirely possible is that he's behind bars. How else is it that he's never appeared in public, turns down opportunities to 'meet' other contributors, is forced to change his names on a frequent basis and writes in prisoner-speak? If he is in community care, his CPN would have medicated this psychosis out of him by now or can conclude he needs sectioning. If it's OHMP, that would explain all his recent boast as to how he's hiding behind filters, which is probably what got him locked up in the first place.

Wouldn't surprise me is the slightest if he was 'on the cucumbers' for stoat offences. And he will know what that means.

Oh yes. I forgot to mention the other bits that fell into place; your knowing them. They know you. I was with them.

Oh, and the corroborative evidence? Well, I told you about my conversation with Mark Fish. You were out of the blocks bloody toot-sweet about that. You said that Mark Fish did not know you. So, you don't know Mark Fish, but patently you know of him. And surprise, surprise he knows OF you. He named you. And get this. The name he uttered was the same name as the Dareners gave me.

But wait. There is more. I was on about AP4B to the Dareners. They volunteered that you ran a website. BRFC The peoples Champions. I only referred Mark to the Website. He cam up with you.

To wit;

Yes tactical victory, unlike Mr 'dull as fcuk' Bowyer, who yet again blames the officials and the defending. Same old sh*te coming out of Deadwood week in week out, getting a little bit boring now.
