Blackburn Rovers face an away tie against the winners of the replay between Luton and QPR in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Reflecting on the draw, Hughes said: "Ideally, we would have preferred a home draw but a number of Premiership clubs have been drawn against each other once again, so that could work in our favour if we get beyond this round.

"It's difficult to say which of the teams we'll be facing but we'd like to think we've got a good chance against whoever it turns out to be, given the way we performed in the last round against Everton."

Midfielder Robbie Savage believes Rovers have what it takes to go on a cup run after they have returned to form in fine style.

"I don't think we are ever going to win the Premiership, if I'm being honest, but in the cup competitions, who knows?

"We've got to two semi-finals under Mark and the cup competitions are a realistic aim for the football club.

"Four games ago, I think everybody was down in the dumps, going home to their families in a mood. It was horrible.

"But when you start winning games and you move up the table, it brings a buzz to you as a person and to the football club.

"I'm going home now and I'm actually talking to the wife!"
